for the salvation of self and welfare of the world
For the past 75 years, Anant Shri Vibhushit Kaival Gyānpithādhiswar Saptam Kuverāchārya Jagatguru Shri Avichaldevāchārya Mahārāj has tirelessly devoted himself to serving our Sampradāya, upholding the values of Sanātan Dharma, protecting our environment, and enriching society through his selfless actions.
His lifelong commitment to the spiritual teachings of Paramguru Shrimat Karunāsāgar Mahārāj has inspired countless individuals to follow in his footsteps and contribute positively to the world around them. Jagatguruji’s unwavering dedication serves as a beacon of light, guiding us towards a path of harmony, compassion, and sustainable living.
Jagatguruji no purushārth
He has established a Yuvā Mandal (young adult organization) in Sārsā to mobilize young people in sevā, bhakti, and gnyān.
Pujya Jagatguruji has composed an Ashtak for our tirth dhāms - Bālkuver Ashtak, Amar Dādam Ashtak, and Akhand Divya Jyot Ashtak. He has composed the “Paramguru Chālisā” using our “Guru Mahimā” as inspiration! This Chālisā is all encompassing with emotional meanings and knowledge.
During the peak of the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic in India in May of 2021, Pujya Jagatguruji established a ‘COVID Care Center’ and distributed grains, spices and vegetables to families in need.
Pujya Jagatguruji has taken a firm stance against dowries and has started a program which allows for girls from poor families to get married without the stress of dowry. For the past 20 years, he has been helping poor families marry their daughters into good homes. For each year, he helps at least as many families as his age in years. This program is called,“Sat Kaival Samuh Lagnotsav”.
During his Suvarna Janmotsav, Pujya Jagatguruji was weighed against gold (Suvarna Tulā) to raise funds for Sat Kaival Eye Hospital. Over 25 years, this hospital has helped thousands regain vision via surgeries, eye exams and camps in rural and tribal areas of Gujarāt.
Pujya Jagatguruji has made significant efforts to encourage education in rural areas by establishing several schools for children in villages like Sārsā and Bālkuver for kids from all surrounding villages.
With Pujya Jagatguruji’s guidance, the first Sat Kaival Youth Shibir was held in 2013. Now, youth across the US, Canada and UK now have the opportunity to participate in yearly youth and young adult Shibirs.
To further his eco-friendly efforts, Pujya Jagatguruji has started a greenhouse project so they can create a safe space to grow plants without pesticides. He has also initiated several renewable energy and natural resource conservation efforts at Sārsā like solar panels, and a large underground rainwater harvest tank.
In 2023, Pujya Jagatguruji celebrated the 250th anniversary of Paramguru’s prāgatya in Sārsā, Gujarāt with a three-day celebration. On the third day, the Akhil Bhāratiya Sant Samiti presented Pujya Jagatguruji with the Jagatguru title, a title bestowed upon only a few Sādhus.
